Bollywood actor Sharma Joshi born

Born on April 28, 1979, Sharma Joshi is an Indian film and theatre actor. He has worked on and directed stage productions in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati languages. In 1999, he made his acting debut with Godmother. He is best known for his role as Raju Rastogi in the movie 3 Idiots.

Benito Mussolini Executed

On April 28, 1945, Benito Mussolini, and his mistress, Clara Petacci were shot by Italian partisans who had captured the couple as they tried to run away to Switzerland.

1970 Nixon Approves Cambodian incursion

President Richard Nixon provides his formal authorization to commit U.S. combat troops, in cooperation with South Vietnamese units, against communist troop sanctuaries in Cambodia. With the announcement of Cambodian incursion on April 30, sets off a wave of antiwar demonstrations.

1978 Afghan President overthrown and murdered

1967 boxing champion Mohammad Ali refuses to be inducted in the US Army and is immediately stripped of the heavyweight title. On religious grounds he declined to go for military service.
