Popularly known by the name of Bharathidasan was a 20th century Tamil poet whose literary works stresses mainly on socio-political issues. One of his songs is a state song of Puducherry.

1945 Dachau concentration camp liberated by the U.S

The U.S. Seventh Army’s 45th Infantry division liberates Dachau on April 29,1945. It was the first concentration established by Germany’s Nazi regime.

1945 Adolf and Eva Marry

During the intervening night of 28-29 April 1945, Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun Marry committed suicide. Braun was employed as an assistant to Hitler’s official photographer where they met each other.
