1778 John Paul Jones leads American raids on Whitehaven

To raid the shallow port of White heaven, England, Commander John Paul Leads a small detachment of two boats from his shit, to raid the shallow port at Whitehaven on April 22, 1778. 400 British ships were anchored at the port.

1886 Seduction made illegal Ohio

Ohio passed a statue that made seduction unlawful. All men over the age of 18 who worked as teachers or instructors of women are covered in it. Consensual sex with the women they were instructing was also prohibited under this law.

1915 Germans introduce Poison gas

German forces stunned Allied forces along the western front by firing more than 15o tons of lethal chlorine gas against two French colonial divisions at Ypres, Belgium. This was the major gas attack, which devastated the Allied lines, by the Germans.

1970 Earth day

To aware people about the environmental problems around the globe is celebrated in the United Nations for the first time on 22 April 1970. Earth Day was the idea of Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin, a stalwart an environmentalist who hoped to provide unity to the grassroots environmental movement and increase ecological awareness.

1945 Hitler admits defeat

On April 22, 1945, Adolf Hitler admits defeat in his underground bunker that the war is over and suicide is the only way left for him, after from one of his commander that no German defence was offered to the Russian assault at Eberswalde.

1994 Richard Nixon dies

On April 22, 1994, the former American President Richard M. Nixon dies after experiencing a stroke four days earlier.
