  1. Bihu, usually held in the month of April is the famous festival of Assam.
  2. Brahmotsavam, usually held in the month of Sept-October is the famous festival of Andhra Pradesh. It is a nine day annual celebration at the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati.
  3. Bastar Dussehra is the famous festival of Chhattisgarh. Bastar Dussehra is longest celebrated Dussehra in world which span around 75 days starting from August to October 
  4. Baisakhi,celebrated on 13th or 14th April, is the famous festival of Haryana. It is the Harvest festival of Rabi crops in Punjab and Haryana.
  5.  Chhath Puja, usually held in the month of October-November is the famous festival of Bihar. Chhath Puja is dedicated to Sun and his wife Usha in order to thank them for bestowing life on the Earth and requesting them to granting certain wishes.
  6.  Carnival is held in the month of February and is very famous in Goa. The most tourist attractive & three day fun filled festival in Goa
  7.  Gudi Padwa,celebrated on 6th April is the famous festival of Maharashtra. It is Maratha new year festival.
  8. Hornbill is the famous festival of Nagaland. To encourage inter-tribal interaction and to promote cultural heritage of state, Nagaland Govt organizes this festival in the last week of December every year.
  9. Kut Festival is a leading festival of Manipur. It does not restrict to any religion, It is celebrated by Kuki-chin tribes of Manipur in the month of November.
  10. Losar Festival is the famous festival of Arunachal Pradesh .It is a Tibetian New year which is usually held in the month January-February for a span of 3 days
