June 2019 – List of Important Days and Events that will take place this month
India is a culturally rich country. It has many religions and the best part is that we can enjoy festivals every month. Every month some important events take place. From the exam point of view, it is important to know about all the important events and days. Here is a list of important events that will take place in the month of June.
1. June 1- World Milk Day
June 1 is celebrated as World Milk Day since 2001. The day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nation in the year 2001 to help people recognize the importance of milk as a global food.
2. June 5- World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5. It is celebrated to spread awareness about the horrific condition of the environment. It is celebrated to encourage people to take actions for the protection of the environment. It was first held by United Nation in the year 1974.
3. June 16- Father’s Day
It is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. The day was first celebrated in the USA. It is celebrated worldwide to honor the contribution of a father in their children’s life.
4. June 12 – Anti Child Labour Day
Anti Child Labour Day is every year celebrated on June 12. The initiative was first observed in the year 2002 by International Labor Day which is also regulated by the UN Body. It is celebrated to spread awareness that we should say No to Child Labour
5. June 14 – World Blood Donor Day
Every year On June 14 we celebrated World Blood Donor Day. The idea behind celebrating this day is to spread awareness for the need of blood, blood products, and the need for safe blood. Moreover, it is a day to thank blood donors who voluntarily come out to donate their blood. It was observed in the year 2004.
6. June 21 – International Yoga Day
International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21st. It was first celebrated in the year 2015 and the man behind this day is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The day is celebrated to mark the importance of physical, mental and spiritual wellness.
7. June 26- International Day against Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking
It is observed every year on June 26th. It was first celebrated in the year 1989. The idea behind celebrating this day is to get a society free of drug abuse.
