Jamia Milla Offers free coaching and hostel facilities to UPSC aspirants

Delhi, Srinagar, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bengaluru, and Malappuram (Kerala) have been selected for entrance test


Jamia Milia Islamia, University Delhi, is offering a free course programme for the aspirants of UPSC exams 2020-2021 and has invited applications for the same. The coaching programme offers free coaching classes for UPSC Prelims, Mains and for the optional subject.  Apart from the free coaching classes, candidates selected will be provided by free accommodation.

Notably, the Hostel facility will also be provided to the students which are subject to the availability of seats and will be allotted on merit basis.

To avail, this coaching programme students need to verify their eligibility as well as to qualify the entrance and interview.

Eligibility Criteria for Free Coaching

The selection board has set fixed criteria and eligibility guidelines for the application of a free UPSC IAS coaching facility.

This facility is exclusively open for candidates belonging to the minority, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribe category.

Women candidates are also eligible to apply:

Candidates who have completed their graduation and have their results can only apply.

Any candidate who has already availed the JMI coaching but did not appear in the exam for the past 3 years is not eligible to apply.

10% of seats are reserved for students who are below 24 years of age.

The total seats available for the current session are 208.

Selection process

Eligible candidates for the coaching facility will be selected through a process of entrance tests and interview.

Written Test will comprise of two papers – Paper 1 and have 60 objective type questions of 1 mark each. You can attempt this test in both English and Hindi languages.

Paper-II will be an essay paper comprising of two essay writing questions of 30 marks each. You can attempt this paper in English, Hindi, or Urdu language.

The time allotted for both the papers will be three hours. However, the time allotted for essay writing will be 2 hours.

The total marks for the personality test will be 30.

Centers selected for the test

six centers have been selected for the entrance exams which are in Delhi, Srinagar, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bengaluru, and Malappuram (Kerala).

How to Apply

Interested candidates can apply online on the official website of the University www.jmicoe.in with an application fee of Rs 650. The last day of submitting the application is 15th of June 2020.

As many as 54 students who were receiving coaching and training at Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of Jamia Millia Islamia have cleared the UPSC (Main) exam 2019.
