Birth Anniversary of  Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar (1910)

Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar (19 October 1910 – 21 August 1995) was an Indian-American astrophysicist. He was granted the 1983 Nobel Prize for Physics with William A. Fowler for “hypothetical investigations of the physical cycles of significance to the structure and development of the stars”. His numerical treatment of heavenly development yielded a considerable lot of the current hypothetical models of the later transformative phases of enormous stars and dark openings. Additionally, the Chandrasekhar limit is also named after him.

Discovery of Antibody Streptomycin (1943)

Streptomycin is an antibiotic medication used to treat a number of bacterial infections. This includes tuberculosis, brucellosis, Burkholderia infection, and many other fevers. It was the first antibiotic drug found to treat tuberculosis and was discovered on October 19, 1943. It was discovered by Albert Schatz in Streptomyces griseus and for this wonderful discovery, he was also awarded the  Nobel Prize of 1952 in Medicine.

Inaugural of World’s First Discotheque (1959)

The first discotheque of the world was opened on October 19, 1959, in Aachen Germany. It was named Scotch club with the first use of a record player in the club instead of a hired band. The first song was “Ein Schiff wird kommen” which was played by a journalist named Klaus Quirini whose style was met with great approval and made him the first DJ in history, as DJ Heinrich.

Saddam Hussein was the fifth President of Iraq from 16 July 1979 until 9 April 2003. The trial of Saddam Hussein was the trial of the deposed President of Iraq Saddam Hussein by the Iraqi Interim Government for crimes against humanity during his time in office. His first trial began on 19 October 2005 and he was tried for crimes against humanity with regard to events that took place in Dujail in 1982 by members of the Islamic Dawa Party.

Ernest Rutherford, (30 August 1871 – 19 October 1937) was a New Zealand – British physicist who came to be known as the Father of nuclear science. Encyclopedia believes him to be the best experimentalist since Michael Faraday (1791–1867). He found the idea of radioactive half-life, the radioactive component radon, and named alpha and beta radiation. It is the reason for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry he was granted in 1908 “for his examinations concerning the breaking down of the components, and the science of radioactive substances”, for which he was the principal Canadian Nobel laureate.
