1962 – Foundation Day of  ITBP Organization

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is India’s essential fringe watch association with its outskirt with Tibet. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of India, raised on 24 October 1962, under the CRPF Act, in the wake of the Sino-Indian War of 1962. 1914 – Birth Anniversary of Lakshmi Sehgal 

Lakshmi Sahgal(24 October 1914 – 23 July 2012) was a revolutionary of the Indian freedom movement. She was an official of the Indian National Army and the Minister of Women’s Affairs in the Azad Hind government. Sahgal is generally alluded to in India as Captain Lakshmi, a reference to her rank when taken prisoner in Burma during the Second World War. 1991 – Death Anniversary of Ismat Chugtai

Ismat Chughtai (21 August 1915 – 24 October 1991) was an Indian Urdu author, short story essayist, and movie producer. 1954 –  Foundation Day of the United Nations

1964 – The first Capture took from Space

 

The first photograph of Earth ever taken from space was captured on 24 October 1946. It was captured from a rocket 105 km above the ground that had been launched from the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, USA. The grainy, black-and-white photos were taken from an altitude of 65 miles by a 35-millimetre motion picture camera riding on the rocket German V-2.
