1743 – Death Anniversary of Maharaja Jay Singh II

(Jaipur City)

Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan which was established by Maharaja Jay Singh II.

He was a Kachwaha Rajput who ruled Jaipur from 1699-1743 and was also belonging from the Amber region. September 21 is celebrated as his death anniversary in all over Jaipur by praising his glories and contribution.

1949 – Manipur Merger Act

On 21 September 1949, a treaty was signed between the Indian Domicile government and the Maharaja of Manipur. It was called as Manipur Meger Act which signifies Manipur as an Indian state from 15 October the same year. In 1972, after many years of direct Indian rule, Manipur became an Indian union state.

1902 – Birth Anniversary of Sir Allen Lane

Sir Allen Lane is known as a British Publisher in all over the world. He was born on 21 September 1902 and has contributed to reading literature a lot. He together with his brothers Richard and John Lane initiated Penguin Books in 1935. The publication brought high-quality paperback fiction and other books to the mass market.

1981 – International Day of Peace

( The symbol of World Peace Day)

International Day of Peace also known as World Peace Day is celebrated on 21st September all over the world. It was started in 1981 from the UN General Assembly. The main agenda behind this day is to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.

1961 – First Trial of Helicopter CH-47 Chinook 

CH – 47 Chinook was the YHC-1B tandem-rotor transport helicopter that rolled out for the very first time on 21 September 1961. It was designed to serve the U.S. Army and Air Force as a medium-lift helicopter and evolved into several versions afterward.

1949 – Establishment of the People’s  Republic of China

On 21 September 1949, the Chairman of the Communist Party Mao Zedong announced the establishment of the People’s Republic of China with a speech at the First Plenary Session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Today we know the People’s Republic of China as the most forward Party in the Government of China.

September 21 is also celebrated as World Alzheimers’ Day all over the world to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
