Wilbur And Orville Wright (the Wright Brothers) Created History By Making The First Ever Successful Airplane:

·     Wilbur Wright was born in 1867 in Millville, Indiana and Orville Wright was born in 1871 near Dayton, Ohio. Their parents were Milton Wright and Susan Catherine Koerner.

·     The thing that sparked their interest in flying was a toy helicopter invented by Alphonse Penaud (a French aeronautical pioneer) who made a 1ft helicopter using rubber band, paper and bamboo which was gifted to them by their father.

·     For several years, various Europeans and Americans tried to make a flying machine, but the Wright brothers came up with an efficient formula after various trials and errors and finally on 17th December, 1903 they flew the first flight that was considered to be a successfully sustained flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina where he glided almost about 120 ft through air within 12 seconds. This was a great achievement in the history of the world and that was the time considered as the time of the transport revolution.

·     Mohamed Bouazizi was a Tunisian street vendor who set himself on fire after being wrongly accused and harassed by some municipal officers.

·     On the 17th of December, 2010, some market officers accused Bouazizi of not having the necessary permits for selling certain goods. He was publicly humiliated and allegedly slapped by a female officer and when he went to file a complaint about the same and the governor refused to hear his side of the story he was enraged and decided to set himself on fire on 17th December, 2010; in front of the governor’s office. Massive mass protests broke out throughout Tunisia after Bouazizi lost his life on 4th January, 2011 and the public wanted justice to be served to Bouazizi.

Vogue Magazines First Issue Was Published In 1892

·     Arthur Baldwin Turnure started the publication of a new magazine in 17th December, 1892 which would provide information about the “ceremonial side of life” and since then Vogue Magazine has influenced various cultures and fashions into a high society.

·     In 1905, Publisher Conde Nast purchased the publication and dedicated it solely to fashion as well as women. It is now one of the most popular magazines that features various writers, celebrities, photographers and models ever since then.
