Minorities Rights Day Is Celebrated Since 2013, On 18th December:

·  The International Human Rights Law states that the fundamental human rights of all minorities are one of its integral parts.

·     Being a democratic country, the Indian Constitution makes sure to treat each and every one of their citizens with equality, regardless of their caste, culture, ethnicity, and race and the Indian Constitution has always made sure to protect the fundamental rights of every minority of this country and it also makes sure to safeguard the interests of the people who are less privileged, economically or socially.

·     A Ministry for Minority Rights in India was established in 2006. This ministry is commonly known as the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

·     The National Commission for Minorities in India is a panel that is solely dedicated to all the various minorities of India and thus it is such a committee that celebrates the Minorities Rights Day in India, every year. It was the United Nations that declared a statement of individual rights irrespective of their caste on 18th December 1992, and thus Minorities Rights Day is observed every year on the 18th of December since 2003.

International Migrants Day Is Celebrated:

·     Ever since the human race was created, they have been traveling from one place to another, either in search of food and water or because of some disputes or disagreements.

·     Various migrants made their own countries in search of religious freedom as the already formed countries set some boundaries for migrants. A huge wave of migration took place from 1900 to 1915 and during this time, over 15 million people migrated from various countries to the United States of America.

·     International Migrants Day is taken as a global holiday. International Migrants Day is observed every year on 18th December since the year 2000 when the United Nations General Assembly made an announcement on December 4, 2000, that 18th December would be celebrated as International Migrants Day. It is celebrated because, in 1990, on 18th December the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on the International Convention on the Protection of Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Family.

·     In order to celebrate International Migrants Day, various conferences are held every year, internationally, to appreciate the efforts that are taken by the migrants and also to appreciate their contribution to the countries that they reside in.
