Born in Mumbai on April 27, 1857, Madan, was an Indian theatre and film magnate and one of the pioneers of film production in India, he was the exhibitor, distributor and producer of films and plays. Madan Theatres was a key influence in Indian theatre throughout the 1920s and 1930s.

According to a German, the universe is created on April 27, 4977. Johannes Kepler was a mathematician and astronomer. He is regarded as the founder of modern science. He is best known for his work explaining the motion of planets.

1521 Navigator Ferdinand Magellan Killed

Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan is killed during a tribal skirmish on Mactan Island in the Philippines. Magellan was hit by a poisonous arrow while assisting a local chief, who was recently converted to Christianity, in conquering a local tribe on the neighbouring island of Mactan.
